[Outward Bound Japan Course Application Terms and Conditions]

By applying for a course sponsored by the Japan Outward Bound Association, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read and fully understand these conditions. If the participant is a minor under the age of 18, the consent of a parent or guardian is required.

1. About the Course
1.1 Outward Bound courses are conducted in a natural environment and entail inherent risks of injury and illness.
1.2 Scheduled activities may be subject to cancellation or significant modifications for safety reasons.
1.3 Applicants are obligated to commit to full participation in all scheduled programs throughout the course. It is not permissible to arrive late, leave early, or depart and return during the course's duration. Your understanding in this regard is greatly appreciated.

2. Application Procedures
2.1 Web Reservation
Upon making a reservation on our website, you will receive an automatic "Web Reservation Confirmation" email containing reservation details. Please note that this email is not a formal reservation. If your email address is incorrect or if you use a cell phone address with email filters, you may not receive a reply.

2.2 Reservation Acceptance
After our receptionist confirms your web reservation details, an official "Reservation Acceptance Email" will be sent to you. This email will include information on future procedures and regulations related to participation. If there are no issues, you may proceed with the formal application procedures.

2.3 Application Procedure
Official acceptance of your application is contingent upon the receipt of the registration fee payment. Upon confirmation of payment, you will receive an "Application Complete" email. Please be aware that applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis if the course follows this approach.

2.4 Participation Guidelines and Pre-Course Questionnaire
We will provide you with the "Participation Guidelines" and the "Pre-Course Questionnaire" by email at least one month prior to the course start date. This questionnaire requires you to report your health condition and related information.

2.5 Health Information
The Association reserves the right to decline participation if it deems there are significant health risks associated with course participation. Furthermore, if the Association identifies significant health risks during the course, continued participation may be refused. If you have health concerns, please consult with us in advance.

2.6 Minimum Number of Participants
Each course requires a minimum of 5 participants. If a course is canceled due to an insufficient number of participants, we will notify you at least 13 days before the course date. Please understand that a course may proceed with fewer participants if a cancellation occurs after the course's confirmation.

2.7 Participation Fee
The participation fee covers instruction, group equipment rental, facility rental, transportation during the course, and accident insurance. Meals and lodging during the course vary depending on the specific course. The participation fee does not include transportation to and from the meeting place.

Personal accident insurance is provided by the Domestic Travel Accident Insurance for individuals domiciled in Japan. This insurance includes coverage for death, permanent disability, hospitalization, hospital visits, and personal liability, with specific monetary amounts.
We cannot provide insurance for individuals without an address in Japan. Please be aware that we may refuse participation to those without such insurance.

2.8 Payment Method
Please make the participation fee payment via bank transfer to the designated bank account, as indicated in the information provided after your reservation is accepted. You are responsible for any bank transfer fees.

2.9 Cancellation Fee Policy
If you decide to cancel your participation after applying and making a payment, a cancellation fee as indicated on the website will be required. Please consider this before applying.

2.10 Handling of Personal Information
Information provided during registration will be used for confirmation and communication regarding course participation and related association events. Your information will not be used for any other purposes without your permission.
